Turn any song into sound therapy
AUM layers solfeggio frequencies, binaural beats and your own subliminal affirmations underneath whatever you're already playing — Spotify, YouTube, podcasts, anything. Open the app, pick a frequency, press play.
How it works
Three taps. Same hours you already spend listening.
AUM doesn't ask you to sit still or add another app to your routine — it rides underneath the one you're already using.
Open AUM, or just ask
Pick from 11 solfeggio presets and binaural beats, or type how you want to feel — "help me focus," "I want my body to recover" — and Ask AUM recommends a frequency.
Start whatever you were going to play anyway
Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, a podcast, your workout playlist — the overlay auto-plays and pauses right along with it.
Layer in subliminals, if you want them
Import your own affirmations or voice recordings and AUM mixes them in quietly underneath everything else, automatically.
What's inside
Everything you need to retune what you're already hearing
Frequency overlay
Runs on top of any app with audio and auto-syncs play/pause — no need to open AUM every time you hit play somewhere else.
11 solfeggio presets
174 through 963 Hz, plus the 432 vs 440 Hz tuning debate, all one tap away. Compare them and decide for yourself.
Binaural beats
A slightly different tone in each ear, tuned across Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta and Gamma bands.
Ask AUM
Describe how you want to feel in plain language and get a real preset recommendation back — not a generic playlist.

The science
We won't tell you it's proven when it isn't
Sound and frequency have a long, genuine research history — and an even longer folk one. AUM is built on both, and the blog is where we keep them separate.
Real physics, honest limits
Cymatics — sound organizing particles into visible patterns — is measurable, repeatable physics you can watch happen. So, it turns out, is asteroseismology: stars genuinely ring, and telescopes catch the flicker. Binaural beats are a documented auditory phenomenon with a modest, mixed research record on mood and focus. Solfeggio tuning, the 432 Hz debate, and the older "music of the spheres" are traditions without controlled clinical trials behind them — that doesn't make them meaningless, it just means we call them what they are: a belief worth testing on yourself, not a settled result.
We break each one down properly on the blog, with what's actually been studied and what hasn't.

Questions
Frequently asked
Does AUM work with Spotify, YouTube, and podcasts?
Yes. AUM's overlay runs alongside whatever's already playing on your phone and auto-plays and pauses with it, so it works over Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, podcasts, or anything else with audio.
What are solfeggio frequencies?
A set of tones — most commonly 174, 285, 396, 417, 528, 639, 741, 852 and 963 Hz — tied to a numerology-based scale popularized in the late 20th century. They're a tradition, not a clinically validated treatment; AUM lets you layer them under your music so you can judge the effect yourself. Read the full breakdown →
Is 432 Hz better than 440 Hz?
There's no controlled research showing 432 Hz produces measurably different effects than the 440 Hz industry standard. The difference is subtle and largely a matter of preference. AUM includes both so you can compare them yourself. The real history →
Do binaural beats actually work?
They're a real, well-documented auditory illusion. Whether the resulting "beat" measurably shifts mood, focus or sleep is mixed in the research — some studies show modest effects, others show none beyond the relaxation response. See the studies →
Are subliminal affirmations backed by science?
The classic research on subliminal self-help tapes found no evidence they work beyond placebo. What is well supported is the illusory truth effect — a statement heard repeated, consciously or not, starts to feel more true over time. That's the mechanism AUM's feature is actually built on. Full explainer →
Does AUM work with CarPlay?
Yes — AUM supports CarPlay, with Lock Screen and Dynamic Island controls too.
